Why record in the browser?

Browser-based screen recording skips installers, updates and account sign-ups. Modern browsers like Chrome and Edge include a built-in screen capture feature, and Moyan Recorder puts a simple set of controls on top of it.

Your video is created on your own computer, so nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share it.

Step-by-step

1. Open Moyan Recorder and choose your video quality and whether to include your microphone.

2. Click Start recording, then pick an entire screen, a single window or one browser tab.

3. After the 3-second countdown, recording begins. Pause and resume any time.

4. Click Stop & save. Your clip appears below, ready to play or download.

Tips for a clean recording

Close notifications and unrelated tabs before you start. If you record a tab, tick 'Share tab audio' in the browser prompt to capture sound from videos or calls.
